Indiana County Marriage License Application

Applying for a marriage license in Indiana County requires an appointment. The office takes appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Before your visit, you must complete the online application through the Landex system.

Both parties must appear in person. Bring the following:

  • $55 in cash or check for the license fee
  • Valid photo ID
  • Social Security card
  • Copy of most recent divorce decree if you were married before
  • Death certificate if a prior spouse is deceased

If your divorce was in Indiana County, contact the Prothonotary's Office at (724) 465-3855. They can help locate your decree. The $55 fee includes records management, automation, and one certified copy of the marriage license.
